chapter 17: I believe Tom is innocent. This is because everyone is so racist, and I don't trust the Ewell family. I think Tom is probably thinking about how foolish everyone is acting. He knows he is innocent, and although he is not confident about winning the case, he knows inside that he is the bigger person. Although I have a feeling he will not win the case, he will definitely end up being the better person with people feeling sorrow for him.

Chapter 17:

I feel that Tom Robinson is innocent. I will always feel that Tom is innocent. The facts provided by Atticus clearly prove that he is innocent. I also feel that he was cheated. He was cheated the right to a fair trial (which all men have the right to based upon the Constitution). Also, he was cheated the right to a fair verdict. Simply because his skin color was not white, he was cheted of his right to a fair trial, which eventually leads to his guilty sentence.

Chapter 20:

I believe Scout still went with him because of an old trick that Atticus had taught her; walking in another person's shoes. Throughout the book Scout puts herself in the shoes of others and she learns that they are not as bad and evil as they seem. I think that she took a walk in Dalphus' shoes and found out that he is not as wicked as he seems. In turn he is a very nice man who is connotated with evil, just as Boo and Miss Dubose are.
